How an Organic Mattress is Made
Step 1
The organic latex is extracted from the Hevea Brasilienis tree, more commonly known as the Rubber tree. This milky white “sap” (or hevea milk) is collected much like Maple tree sap and is processed to make our own version of organic latex memory foam.
Step 2
The organic latex material is poured into a custom mold that has undergone years of re-engineering and modifying to perfect. Using a specialized vacuum, the liquid latex is evenly dispersed throughout the mold, before being flash frozen and flash heated until a gel-like state is achieved.
Step 3
Once removed from the mold, the material is wash and rinsed for purity before being baked and cured. The organic latex is then sliced into 1-, 2-, and 3-inch-thick layers to be used atop our organic mattresses.
Step 4
All of our organic mattresses are wrapped in Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified cotton. Grown without chemicals, synthetic fertilizers, or pesticides, certified organic cotton retains the health of the planet and lends to a healthier, more rejuvenating sleep experience.
