To obtain this certification, an organic mattress must be made from at least 70% organic fibres. It also ensures that every step of the manufacturing, from harvesting to construction to labelling, has been completed using organic products. Due to the strict policies, GOTS is one of toughest organic textile standards to obtain. At NewGen, we are very proud that our Canadian-made, organic mattresses achieve this standard as well as the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) and the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 to be certified baby-safe.
